Last revised: April 16, 2010 A la Mode Pies LLC respects the privacy of our customers and (hopefully!) future customers. This privacy policy explains how we collect and use information in connection with our website. We may change the terms of this policy. If we do, we will update the “Last revised” date, up above.

 

Information Collection

When you visit the A la Mode Pies site, our servers automatically log certain types of non-personally identifiable information. These include the identity of the website that referred you to us, your IP address, your browser type and language, and the time that you access the site. We use this information in the aggregate to understand how people reach our site and what they do once they get here. A la Mode Pies uses your personal information to:

When you leave the A la Mode Pies site and enter another website, you should read the privacy policy of the other website to learn how the operator of that site collects and uses your information. Communications

If we have some exciting news, or a super-special new pie, we want to let you know as soon as possible. That’s why we let you choose to receive emails from us. You may choose to receive our emails via the “Stay Connected” form on our website, during the account creation process or by changing the preferences in your account settings. We don’t want to send you these announcements if you don’t want to receive them. Therefore, we won’t send them to you unless you give us permission to do so. And, if you previously elected to receive such communications, but changed your mind, no problem. You may opt-out by using the link provided in each email, by changing the preferences in your account settings, or simply by sending us an email requesting to opt-out of future communications. TERMS OF USE

A la Mode Pies LLC grants you a revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the website as forth in these terms of use. By using the A la Mode Pies site, you acknowledge and agree that your use of the site is at your own risk. A la Mode Pies is not liable for any damages related to your use of the site or your inability to access or use the site.

 

In certain areas of the A la Mode Pies site you may have the ability to post comments or submit materials. You agree not to post comments or submit materials that violate or infringe upon the rights of others, which are unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable, or which encourage conduct constituting a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any law. We reserve the right to prohibit your ability to post comments and the right to remove comments which, in our sole opinion, we deem inappropriate. We further reserve the right to prohibit your use of the A la Mode Pies website and/or cancel your A la Mode Pies account at any time, and for any reason. We hope it never comes to that, and we doubt it will, but now you know.

 

Our website allows you to submit recipes to us which we may choose to feature on the site. If you submit a recipe, you acknowledge that you are not entitled to any compensation from A la Mode Pies for such submission, other than a ten dollar ($10) discount on a future purchase. Further, by submitting a recipe, you grant to A la Mode Pies the right to publish the recipe on the A la Mode Pies site, along with your name and any other materials you submit with the recipe. You release all intellectual property and other proprietary rights in the recipe or materials, and waive all rights of publicity in connection with your submission. In other words, if you don’t want the fame and notoriety that will inevitably come after being featured on our site, don’t send us your recipe.

 

We make every effort to ensure that the information on the A la Mode Pies website is current, accurate and complete. Of course, we sometimes make mistakes. Actually, we don’t make mistakes, our website guy does, but that’s neither here nor there. What is important to know is, we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of information on the site. Any inaccuracies, incomplete information or typographical errors are unintended. We reserve the right to change the information on the site at any time, without prior notice. Please note that, because each of our pies is handmade, the pies you actually receive may not match exactly the images shown on the A la Mode Pies site. But they will still be beautiful and delicious. We promise.

 

The A la Mode Pies website contains copyrighted material, including without limitation, text, photos, graphics, interactive features and the code underlying the site, all of which is the sole property of A la Mode Pies LLC. You may not copy, publish, transmit, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the site or its contents. A la Mode Pies is a trademark of A la Mode Pies LLC. Any order cancellations must be notified 24 hours before the delivery time, or you will be charged for the order.
